2021 RAM 1500 near Rio Rancho NM is the Most Comfortable Pickup on the Market

The RAM 1500 is already, hands-down, the most comfortable and tech-forward pickup truck on the market. Discover what's new for the 2021 RAM 1500 near Rio Rancho NM at Viva RAM.
When the Ram 1500 was redesigned for 2019, it redefined the type of luxury and technology buyers could expect from a full-size pickup truck. Outside of that, it offers a class-leading ride and a selection of both powerful and efficient engine options as well as excellent towing and payload ratings through the lineup. The experts at Edmunds were so impressed; they named it their Top Rated truck.  This should come as no surprise, since Motor Trend has named the RAM their Truck of the Year for 2019 and 2020. With its look still fresh, expect the 2021 Ram 1500 to arrive as a carryover model.

Even when the truck was still labeled the Dodge Ram, it never underwent big changes, and the 2019 redesign was no different. Stylistic changes were made to the headlights, bumper, and grille, along with a few other things. The most obvious change was not so obvious; it was the almost 225 pounds lost by using lighter, more proficient materials in its manufacture. Extensive use of high strength steel in the truck's framework helps deliver industry-leading hauling and towing capabilities. The 2021 RAM 1500 near Rio Rancho should remain the same in this area as well.
Is there anything new for the RAM pickup in 2021? Rumor has it that the truck could get some interesting technical tweaks for the 2021 model year.
Mopar Insiders shared spy shots of the 2021 Ram 1500, including the new Rebel TRX (Fiat Chrysler Auto's rival for the Ford Raptor), with new cameras housed on the side view mirrors and in a third LED brake light. Those cameras should give the 2021 RAM 1500 near Rio Rancho the ability to offer towing cameras, with 360˚ surround camera views as well as a camera looking down into the cargo bed. These capabilities have previously been reserved for Ram's heavy-duty lineup.

In May, TFL Truck spotted a trailer steering knob that could steer the truck automatically to back up the trailer into a parking spot, in a way comparable to Ford's Pro Trailer Backup Assist. The RAM 1500 is a popular choice for towing, with the 5.7-liter Hemi's capacity to tow up to 12,750 lbs, so those extras would be welcome!

Another thing to keep an eye out for on the tech front could be FCA's new UConnect5 infotainment system, which supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and can even use Alexa. FCA says that Uconnect 5 provides 5-times faster operating speeds when compared to the previous generation. Faster processing speeds and more memory give the all-new Uconnect lightning-quick response to touchscreen input.

Top Feature in the 2021 RAM 1500 near Rio Rancho NM
A top feature of the upgraded system is that it enables two phones to be connected to it simultaneously, so there's much more flexibility with your passenger(s). Allowing calls to go through the passenger keeps the driver's eyes on the road and keeps their attention focused. Allowing the passenger to handle the navigation, etc, makes everything easier.
One of the biggest complaints from drivers is that infotainment screens are usually tied to only one profile or the profiles are tied to using a certain key fob. The new Uconnect 5 in the 2021 RAM 1500 near Rio Rancho will change that, allowing up to five different profiles to be saved. The system will store preferences to each profile such as temperature, seating position and mirror placement. It will also store music preferences and screen set-ups. The driver will be able to change the settings with the touch of a button. So, it won't matter if the husband, wife, teenager or college student is driving, the preferences can be easily updated. The new system even has a valet mode so your privacy is protected.

FCA continues to lead with the largest touchscreen offered for vehicles. The new screen is 12.3 inches with up to 15 million pixels in Ultra HD. Software updates to the new Uconnect5, will occur Over the Air (OTA), as will map updates for the navigation system, hopefully eliminating the need for receiving updates at the dealership.

A Refresh is Coming to the 2021 Dodge Durango near Albuquerque NM

The sale of crossovers and SUVs are as steady as ever, with more and more people opting out of sedans and into crossovers. So, what's in store for the 2021 Dodge Durango near Albuquerque NM?

While some of Fiat Chrysler Automobile's (FCA) new products have been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Dodge's engineers have reportedly worked around the clock to make sure that an updated version of the three-row Durango remains on track.

According to undisclosed sources from within the company, the 2021 Durango should be unveiled soon, with dealers' ordering slated for around August 6. Production, however, is scheduled to start on October 5. None of these dates have been confirmed, but they do align with pre-coronavirus reports on FCA's plans for the refreshed Durango which has been spied lightly camouflaged on a number of occasions over the past year.

For the exterior, the 2021 Dodge Durango near Albuquerque NM will likely bring a newly designed front fascia with a new front bumper and new headlights and possibly smaller changes to the rear, along with the mandatory new wheel choices and colors.   These expected changes could have something to do with the updated engines likely to be sliding in behind the new fascia.

It's said that the interior will be redesigned boasting new gear, including the company's 10.1-inch Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system. The fifth generation of the famous Uconnect system is about to bring improvements in various aspects, even though the current infotainment system is one of the best you can find around. The new infotainment system offers faster connectivity with even more customization than before.

Under the hood, aside from the existing 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, the big news is rumored to be the introduction of two new and extremely different powertrains. For an eco-friendly 2021 Dodge Durango near Albuquerque NM, Dodge will offer the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with the self-charging mild hybrid system "eTorque" that's now offered in the Ram 1500 and Jeep Wrangler. On the opposite end of the spectrum will be the Hellcat high-performance engine featuring the  6.2-liter supercharged V8 - the 707 hp brute that powers the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk and the Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye, which pumps out as much as 797 hp.

Engine Options in the 2021 Dodge Durango near Albuquerque NM
Output figures aren't available yet, but the present Durango's base engine is the non-hybrid 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 that delivers 293 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque in the SXT trim. The V6 hybrid powertrain that's offered in the Ram 1500 makes 305 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque, and the Jeep Wrangler  produces 285 hp and 260 lb-ft., but doesn't increase output compared to the non-hybrid engine in either of those models. We're sure buyers would love for Dodge to bump the numbers up into Ram territory, but the eTorque unit is there for fuel economy and low-end refinement, so don't be surprised if there's no change.
While the 2021 Dodge Durango near Albuquerque NM may not get a complete redesign, we expect a lot of changes from Dodge's midsize SUV.
