Jeep Gladiator Mojave near Albuquerque NM is Rated for Top Desert Performance

The new 2020 "Desert Rated" Jeep Gladiator Mojave near Albuquerque NM Trail Rated" label. Designed for high-speed sand running in punishing environments, the Gladiator Mojave has a multitude of features that distinguish it from its trail and mud loving Gladiator Rubicon brother.

Jeep is legendary for its off-roading and boulder-crawling 4WD capability. But in recent years, Ford has taken over in the sand with its desert-running F-150 Raptor. Adding to this, the all-new Ford Bronco SUV will soon be revealed, and rumor has it that it likes desert running over boulder crawling, as well.

This is why Jeep, which isn't about to let such a challenge go unanswered, has come up with the Jeep Gladiator Mojave, the first in what is expected to be a line of desert-running Jeep models.

Jeep has improved focus on the Gladiator's suspension on this rugged pickup truck's desert-ready version. For example, this new pickup shows off specially-tuned Fox 2.5-inch internal bypass shocks with external reservoirs to help keep them cool, along with industry-exclusive Fox front hydraulic jounce bumpers for additional suspension damping when the shocks are fully compressed (like during high-speed off-road driving).

In addition, the Jeep Gladiator Mojave near Albuquerque NM has a reinforced frame, with a one-inch front suspension lift. There is a silver skid plate underneath to protect it from underbody hits. There are stronger axles with cast-iron steering knuckles, standard 33-inch Falken Wildpeak All-terrain tires. You can also choose Falken Wildpeak Mud-terrain tires which will be available as an option. All this joined with half-an-inch wider track helps the Mojave attain better stability, which makes it able to withstand a lot more abuse. Inside, front bucket seats with better bolstering that hold occupants comfortably in place when adventure calls.

Here's another surprise for desert-running fans who know that high-range gearing is usually the transfer-case choice in sand: Gladiator Mojave is equipped with 4-HI rear-differential locking talent, a capability not found even on the Gladiator Rubicon, which must be in 4-LO to lock up the differentials. The two-speed transfer case has a 2.72:1 low-gear ratio and it's complemented by heavy-duty Dana 44 front and rear axles. Thanks to this transfer case, the Gladiator Mojave can operate at higher speeds in 4LO, which will make climbing sand dunes a lot easier, since you need that beginning torque in such conditions.

The Gladiator Mojave also comes with a standard electronic-locking rear differential and a 4.10 rear axle ratio that will improve acceleration while climbing grades, uneven terrains, and carrying heavy loads.

All the above named features come standard, which make the Jeep Gladiator Mojave near Albuquerque NM the first "Desert Rated" vehicle from the company.

2020 Jeep Gladiator Mojave near Albuquerque NM Shares Traits With the Rubicon

The Mojave shares the Rubicon's 3.6 liter V-6 (with 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque), a choice of six speed manual or eight speed automatic transmissions, and the push-button front-sway bar disconnect for extra front suspension flexibility. Jeep will also be offering an Off-Road Plus button that allows drivers to adjust throttle, transmission shift points and traction control for peak performance on higher speed passes on sandy terrain, as well as during low-speed rock crawling, with just the press of a button. This feature will also enable drivers to lock the car's rear axle at high speeds while in 4H.
