2021 Dodge Durango Citadel near El Paso TX Gets More Power

The 2021 Dodge Durango Citadel near El Paso TX is the understated and refined one in the Durango lineup; with so many premium features delivered as standard, its performance dripping with luxury.

Even though it's about time for a new generation, Dodge announced a refresh for the 2021 model year. But what a meaningful refresh it is! The current Durango model has been updated with a fresh looking front that uses elements of the Dodge Charger widebody, a new dash design, modernized powertrains, and the newest tech. While much has been said about the high-performance models like the R/T, SRT, and brand new SRT Hellcat; not much has been said about the luxury-oriented Citadel.

To begin with, the 2021 Dodge Durango Citadel near El Paso is offered with two powertrain choices, which both include standard towing equipment. The standard 3.6-liter V-6 boasts up to 295 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The other option is a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 with 360hp and 390 lb-ft of torque.

No matter which engine you choose, the Durango Citadel comes standard with trailer-tow equipment which includes Class IV hitch and trailer receivers, an integrated trailer brake switch and brake controller, a full-size spare tire, heavy-duty engine oil cooler, and rear load-leveling shocks.

2021 Dodge Durango Citadel near El Paso TX: More Aggressive

Along with the refreshed, more aggressive looking front fascia that the entire Durango lineup received, the Citadel boasts exclusive and upscale accents and cues, such as platinum chrome door handles, mirror caps, assorted body trim and dual rear exhaust tips, and 20x8 inch wheels. There are now three different grille textures presented on the Durango, with the Citadel getting the Granite Crystal painted finish. And since the Citadel is offered as the premium luxury model (think class and elegance), there's no sporty air scoop on the hood. There are however, fog lights, LED head- and taillights, roof rails, and a cool s poiler in back.

All 2021 Durango models get a redesigned interior that's very similar to the Challenger in look and feel. But inside is where the 2021 Dodge Durango Citadel near El Paso really shows its sumptuousness. Like the Challenger, the new models have a lush interior, with screens angled toward the driver, and a small panel that divides the shifter area from the passenger seat. The spacious cabin also has a newly designed instrument panel, center console, and front door uppers. There's more soft-wrapped and accent stitched surrounds, and a revamped console that offers more storage and wireless charging. It's cultured and polished throughout, with seating for six, and provides heated and ventilated leather driver and passenger seats and heated second-row seats. These Nappa seats are embossed with "Dodge" stripes.

The newest Uconnect 5 infotainment system with a largest-in-class 10.1-inch touchscreen is stock in this model, with TomTom navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto/Amazon Alexa, and Sirius XM Radio. The full collection of safety features including Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop, Blind-spot monitoring, Lane Departure Warning, and more come standard in the Durango Citadel as well. And thankfully, all models keep actual physical knobs and buttons for HVAC controls and such.

The Dodge Durango combines the ruggedness and towing capability of an old school SUV with the comfortable ride, roomy interior, and nice handling of a car-based crossover. The 2021 Dodge Durango Citadel near El Paso pumps up the sophistication factor and is perfect for those who prefer luxury with performance.
