The 2023 Jeep Compass near El Paso TX Excites Drivers with Better Features and Offerings

Flaunting a refreshed look, an incredible list of amenities, and first-rate capability, the 2023 Jeep Compass near El Paso TX brings excitement to area drivers. This compact crossover SUV offers something for everyone with new safety features, superb comfort, and innovative technology. And thanks to its off-road capabilities, the Compass is one of the few small SUVs that can take on rugged terrain.

It was only last year that the Compass was given a significant redesign, giving it some of the same styling swag of the high-end Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer. For this reason, we expect the 2023 model to arrive without many changes.

Exterior and Interior Appearance

The outside of the new Compass boasts a combination of off-road spunkiness with on-road sophistication through the updated front end that showcases a new signature 7-slot grille with high-gloss black surround accents and slim LED headlights. Beefier fenders and a tougher rear bumper round out the look. Depending on the trim level, the new Compass can create a more upscale appearance with chrome exterior accents or present a more rugged look with chunkier off-road tires, heavy-duty skid plates, and more robust wheels.

Inside, you’ll find a lush interior with a new instrument panel and a gloss-black center stack amid a split dashboard that separates HVAC and infotainment controls.  A new vertical touchscreen angled toward the driver has a narrow line of analog dials situated low down on the center console. Slimmer vents in the front and rear vents repositioned in the center console deliver excellent airflow.

The redesigned center console gives up twice as much storage space as the prior model, includes USB types A and C ports for charging electronic devices, and offers an available wireless charging pad for compatible smartphones. And for cargo space, you’ll get over 27 cubic feet behind the second row and almost 60 cubic ft with the back seats folded.

The new multifunction steering wheel has a smaller driver airbag module; lending added space for onboard function buttons. Also new is the shifter bezel with an integrated parking brake and a chromed Selec-Terrain toggle switch.

Technology in the 2023 Jeep Compass near El Paso TX

With the new UConnect 5 infotainment system, you’ll feel more connected than ever before. Standard equipped with an 8.4-inch touchscreen and an optional 10.1-inch display, this system also brings wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, simultaneous dual-phone Bluetooth connectivity. Also offered is an 8-device 5G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, TomTom navigation with live traffic updates and natural speak voice control, five user profiles, valet mode for personal preferences, and the all-new UConnect mobile app. An Alexa “Home-to-car” function is also available, featuring an in-vehicle Alexa virtual assistant.

Safety and Driver-Assist Tech

Can you believe there are over 75 standard and available safety/security features for the 2023 model? It’s true, and one you’re sure to appreciate while driving on I-25 is the optional Highway Assist Semi-Autonomous Driving System. This feature automatically accelerates, brakes, and steers your Jeep without you needing to do anything else in one lane of traffic.

Additionally, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-path detection, lane departure warning & lane-keep assist, parallel parking assist, full-speed collision warning with active brake & pedestrian/cyclist detection, and more are now standard in every trim level of the 2023 Jeep Compass near El Paso TX.

What About Performance?

Although nothing has been confirmed, Jeep’s top official revealed that the Compass would receive some upgrades to its powertrain later this year. The turbocharged 1.3-liter 4-cylinder that powers the Jeep Renegade could possibly find its way under the hood, maybe even replacing the 2.4-liter unit currently in most trims. Horsepower would remain the same, but torque would get a boost up to 210 lb-ft. Another bonus is slightly better fuel economy than the current engine.

Another possibility would be the plug-in hybrid model. Europe already has the plug-in hybrid Compass, so adding this powertrain to the US versions makes sense. Only time will tell, of course.
