With an updated appearance, top-notch capability, and a surprisingly long list of features, the 2023 Jeep Compass Latitude near Bayard NM offers plenty to suit a variety of tastes. We’re excited about the combination of outstanding comfort and room for five, advanced technology, and new safety features the Compass brings to drivers. And because it has real off-roading capability, the Jeep Compass is a small SUV that can confidently take on rugged terrain.
Just last year, for the 2022 model, Jeep gave the Compass a major redesign, lending it some of the same stylings as the top-tier Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer. Because it’s coming off a fresh redesign, changes for the 2023 model aren’t expected.
Exterior and Interior
Although the company hasn’t yet announced any official information, we expect the 2023 Jeep Compass to arrive at our dealership sometime this fall, with eight available trim levels beginning with the base Sport to the top-of-the-line High Altitude. In between, there’s the Latitude, Altitude, Latitude Lux, Limited, Trailhawk, and Red. Based on the 2022 model, we recommend stepping up from the entry-level Sport to the Latitude trim. For just a bit more money, the 2023 Jeep Compass Latitude near Bayard NM includes amenities that make the crossover easier to live with day to day.
On the outside of the Compass Latitude, you’ll notice the revamped front end that highlights the new distinctive Jeep 7-slot grille with slim automatic LED headlights, fog and cornering lights, and high-gloss black surround accents. Chunkier fenders all around and a more rugged bumper complete the look. The Latitude trim of the Compass gets 17-inch aluminum painted wheels on a bit bigger and wider tires than the Sport, giving it a tougher look. You’ll also get body-colored door handles and roof, with black side roof rails as standard.
Inside the Compass Latitude you’ll have a choice between a black or steel gray interior, with high-quality cloth and vinyl bucket seats that are contoured to keep you safe, secure, and comfortable. Heated front seats are available in the Latitude but not in the Sport trim. You’ll also find a new gauge cluster and gloss-black center stack that splits the dashboard into separate infotainment and climate controls. The new portrait-style touchscreen is driver-centric and sports a thin line of dials lower down on the console. Improved air circulation is achieved through the slimmer front vents and repositioned rear vents. The updated center console allows for double the storage as the last generation, includes types A and C USB charging ports, and offers an available wireless charging pad. You’ll also get 27 cubic feet of cargo space which expands to nearly 60 cubes with the rear seats folded down.
