One is the RHO, a performance-oriented pickup tailored to an exclusive segment of RAM customers. While not as powerful as the outgoing TRX, the RHO brings similar capabilities. The second new trim is the ultra-luxe Tungsten variant, a top-tier trim that joins the Tradesman, Laramie, Big Horn/Lone Star, Limited Longhorn, Rebel, and Limited models.

What’s New for 2025

The new RAM 1500 offers walk-up animation, a reworked grille and fascia, LED lighting, distinctive rear badging, and more. It’s also built on a more durable 98% high-strength steel frame. Select models offer a class-exclusive Active-Level™ Four Corner Air Suspension, automatically lowering the truck to optimize aerodynamics and decrease drag when engaged.

Off-road enthusiasts eagerly await the debut of the all-new RHO trim, slotting in the lineup right above the Rebel in the brand’s range of pickups. It isn’t meant to be a direct replacement for the mighty TRX, as it has less horsepower, but this change helps adjust the starting price to a more affordable amount, thereby expanding its appeal to a larger group of buyers. 

Departing from the HEMI V8, the RAM 1500 RHO will rely on the High-Output twin-turbo inline 6-cylinder Hurricane engine, the same one you’ll find in the top-level Jeep Wagoneer. Just because it isn’t a HEMI doesn’t mean it’s wimpy- this powerhouse cranks out more horses than the standard high-output engines on the Chevy Silverado Z71, the Ford F-150 Raptor, the Toyota Tundra TRD Pro, and the GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X!
