Regarding the heavy-duty truck segment, RAM has always been a major player. Excellent towing capability and rugged performance combined with great design make a winning combination. Following in the footsteps of the redesigned RAM 1500, the 2025 RAM Heavy Duty in Las Cruces, NM has been given a refreshed look with similar styling while keeping its distinct HD attributes intact.
Exterior Enhancements
The new lineup features the same aggressive and muscular stance you love but now boasts more eye-catching and refined elements. The front end is sleeker, with a more modern look. All versions have new geometrical grille designs with headlights that have been modified into two thinner pieces with quad headlamps which are seamlessly integrated into the grille. The grille itself varies depending upon the trim level.
At the rear, the new RAM HD has more streamlined taillights with C-shaped LEDs for a cleaner look. While the rear-end design stays mostly the same otherwise, the overall appearance is fresher and more contemporary.
2025 RAM Heavy Duty in Las Cruces, NM: Interior and Tech
Despite having gotten no official word about the interior of the HD lineup from the automaker, we anticipate some tweaks in the already comfortable and plush cabin. Using premium materials and a functional design, these workhorses will also give the occupants a luxurious experience.
Since the RAM 1500 received significant interior tech updates, we expect the RAM HD lineup to get the same treatment. The 8.4-inch touchscreen in the 1500 was replaced by a much larger 12-inch display, with an available 14.5-inch screen for those who want more. A 10.3-inch screen was also added for the front passenger, allowing an even more connected ride. The updated UConnect infotainment system will also include intuitive navigation, Wi-Fi hotspot capability, wireless charging, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration.
Safety is at the forefront of RAM’s design, and the 2025 Heavy Duty models will be equipped with a comprehensive list of driver-assist and safety technology. Expect adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring and more.
Power and Performance
No official word has been given at tis time as to which engines will power the 2025 RAM Heavy Duty models, but we can make some educated guesses based on previous configurations and the updated 1500.
Because a new inline 6-cylinder twin-turbo with either 420 or 540 horsepower has replaced the HEMI V8 in the RAM 1500, we believe some HD models could also feature this engine. For those wanting powerful performance without opting for a diesel, this would be the way to go.
However, for serious hauling or towing, the RAM HD lineup has always offered robust gas and diesel choice. We expect the 6.4-liter HEMI V8 to continue in the 2025 HD lineup, providing generous power and torque for drivers who need to tow heavy loads without switching to diesel. In addition, we expect the Cummins 6.7-liter inline-6 turbo diesel to carry over, most likely with enhancements to boost fuel economy, performance, or both.
What Else?
Although all the details for the 2025 RAM Heavy Duty near Rio Rancho, NM have yet to be released, what we’ve seen so far would suggest the lineup will continue to blend power, capability, modern design, and comfort.
