The Return of the 2025 Jeep Wrangler V6 near Silver City, NM

The 2025 Jeep Wrangler will once again offer the pairing of the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine with the TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission. This combination, which was not going to be available for 2025, is now back, thanks to the many voices of Jeep enthusiasts nationwide! The Pentastar V6 delivers up to 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque and can now be paired with the returning 8-speed automatic or the 6-speed manual transmission.

Unfortunately, the combination will not come cheaply. The TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic will be available for $4.500 as an option for 2025 Wrangler four-door models equipped with the 3.6-liter V6 engine. This new alternative is currently open for ordering, which gives Jeep Wrangler fans the chance to secure their preferred powertrain setup. 

 

Other Powertrain Options 

If the V6 isn’t your cup of tea, the 2025 Jeep Wrangler offers an assortment of engine choices to suit different preferences. These options include:

• A 2.0-liter turbocharged inline 4-cylinder with 270 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque
• A 6.4-liter HEMI V8 producing up to 470 hp and 470 lb-ft
• The 4xe plug-in hybrid mill 

 

All of these options, excluding the V6 with the stick shift, are paired with the 8-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission.

 

Additional Updates for the New Model Year

Even though the return of the V6 coupled with the automatic transmission is the big news, the latest Jeep Wrangler also received a few other updates for 2025. These updates include:

• Power windows and door locks on ALL trims, including the base
• Pre-ventilation feature for remote cabin temperature control
• New paint color ’41, inspired by WWII Willys Jeeps
