What's in Store for the 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee near Silver City, NM?

Although there’s been no official word from Jeep or its parent company, Stellantis, concerning the 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee near Silver City, NM, plenty of rumors are circulating online. The current generation model has been around since 2022, and many sources see it getting a refresh in 2025. Other schools of thought are predicting significant changes for Jeep’s most popular and most award-winning SUV, while still others expect no major changes for the upcoming model year.

While we at Viva CJDRF of Las Cruces are excitedly awaiting more information about the new model’s arrival, we want to share what we know so far.

What We’ve “Heard”

Sightings of Grand Cherokee prototypes being tested on public roadways have given way to “spy shots” that anticipate several changes. According to Mopar Insiders, the prototype Grand Cherokees that have been spotted show modifications to the grille and front bumper that give it a more modern look while keeping the classic Jeep appearance. Spy shots also reveal sensors placed higher in the front fascia, which they say suggests an “improved Level 3 autonomy” that may be available on the new models.

However, the power under the hood could be a more significant change for the new model. Many sources say Jeep will introduce an all-new powertrain for the full lineup as Stellantis strives to meet tougher Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFÉ) regulations. The HEMI V8 in the RAM 1500, Jeep Wagoneer, and Grand Wagoneer have been replaced by the twin-turbo Hurricane 6-cylinder engine, so it seems likely the Grand Cherokee would receive the same treatment, although, as we said, there has been no official word from the company at the time of this writing. The current Grand Cherokee gets its power from the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 or a 2.0-liter turbo-4 plug-in hybrid.

Whether the changes noted above are in store for 2025 or 2026 models remains to be seen.

2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee near Silver City, NM: Interior

What we’re sure won’t change (much) is the interior of the Grand Cherokee. The two-row model boasts more than enough room for five occupants and their cargo, while the three-row Grand Cherokee L accommodates up to seven passengers. If you crave luxe surroundings, the Overland, Summit, and top-tier Summit Reserve offer quilted leather upholstery, real wood accents, and premium digital displays. But even the base model Laredo A, which is priced under $40K, is stocked with features. A power driver’s seat, six USB ports, an 8.4-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a 6-speaker audio system with voice control, dual-zone climate control, and more comes standard.

Safety and Driver-Assist

With cutting-edge standard and available safety/driver-assist features, the Grand Cherokee keeps safety at the top of the priority list. All models have adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, automatic adaptive headlights, and lane-keep assist. Moving up the trim levels brings more advanced features, such as a 360-degree camera, automatic high beams, traffic sign recognition, driver attention warnings, semi-autonomous parking, and front parking sensors.
